Tweet Tweet!
As mentioned in my last post, Taco Bell has a bigger
audience on Facebook, but what about Twitter?
Wendy’s posts many tweets each day. They posts videos, GIF’s
and images. Since it is the summer season they are posting a lot about their
summer drinks and salads so majority of their posts are promotional. They also
take the time to reply back to the tweets they receive by consumers. They
continue the conversation. Taco Bell on the other hand posts short, funny
sayings/comments to engage their audience. Things like “Let’s guac about it”.
They also post images and videos about their products. Like Wendy’s, Taco Bell
also takes the time to reply to consumer tweets. Both brands do not use
keywords in their recent posts but majority is based of clever lines to engage
consumers. However, on Twitter they do use the 50/50 rule.
The most successful recent tweets from each brand:

| Wendy's Power Chicken Salad GIF Twitter.com |
Wendy’s is a funny GIF that entices you to their new chicken
salad. I think it is so successful because it promotes their salad in a clever,
laid back kind of way.

| Taco Bell Quesalupa Twitter Video |
Taco Bell’s is a short video promoting their new Quesalupa.
Like Wendy’s they promoted their new product in a clever way. Creating a short
video or image can be successful because it engages with the audience.
Wendy’s has
911.3 thousand followers, Taco Bell has 1.7 million followers… meaning Taco
Bell has taken the cake for Twitter as well!
